Required Qualifications

External Candidates

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka in Engineering fields such as:
  • Electronics
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical
  • Civil
  • Materials
  • Chemical
  • Textile
  • Production
  • Information
  • Communication & Digital Technology
  • Or any other relevant engineering field related to the subject area

AND

• Minimum one year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field after obtaining the first degree.

Internal Candidates

Applicants should possess the qualifications required for external candidates.

Selection Method

Selection will be based on:

• Written Competitive Examination and/or
• Structured Interview

Examination Subjects

• English Language Proficiency
• Aptitude Test

Salary Scale

• Salary Scale:
  • LKR 91,690 – 168,240

Implementation as per Management Services Circular 01/2025:

• 2026 Salary: LKR 81,710
• 2027 Salary: LKR 91,690

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 22 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.
