Academic & Administrative Qualifications
Candidates must possess combinations of:
- A Degree with First or Second Class
- Postgraduate qualifications in Administration or Management
- Extensive administrative experience after obtaining the first degree
- Senior-level service experience in Higher Educational Institutions or the University Grants Commission system
Alternative Eligibility Categories
The vacancy also accepts applicants from:
- Deputy Secretary / Deputy Registrar positions
- Senior Assistant Secretary / Senior Assistant Registrar grades
- Attorney-at-Law candidates with relevant administrative experience
- Senior administrative officers with long-term university sector experience
Experience Requirements
Depending on the qualification category, candidates should possess:
- 10 to 18 years of administrative experience
- Relevant experience in management, administration, or human resource management
- Senior-level institutional administrative exposure
Salary Scale
- U-EX 3 (I)
- Rs. 181,730 – 3×3,900; 11×4,850 – 246,780 p.m.
- Government approved allowances are also payable
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on a structured interview
- Applicants scoring 40% or above at the interview will be eligible for consideration
