Job Description

The Welder will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication work related to machinery, vehicles, and equipment. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in welding processes and the ability to maintain high-quality standards in workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks for machinery, vehicles, and metal components
• Carry out fabrication and repair work as required
• Ensure strong and durable welds according to specifications
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition
• Follow safety procedures and workshop guidelines
• Assist in machinery maintenance and technical operations

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination with a minimum of six subjects, including Sinhala/Tamil, English, and Mathematics

Technical Qualifications

• Completed a technical training course in Welding or a related field
• Qualification must be recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC)
• NVQ Level 4 or above in a relevant field

Experience

• Previous experience in welding or fabrication work will be an added advantage

Age Limit

• Between 18 – 35 years

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: PL 2-2-2025
  40,920 – 10×435 – 6,350 – 4×780 – 18×1,080 – 74,580 + allowances
