Job Description

The Heavy Machinery Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and other machinery used in construction and engineering projects. The role requires technical expertise, safety awareness, and the ability to perform field operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery for construction and maintenance tasks
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of equipment
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery at all times
• Follow operational guidelines and safety standards
• Assist in site-level engineering and machinery-related activities
• Maintain records of machinery usage and performance

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination with a minimum of six subjects, including Sinhala/Tamil, English, and Mathematics

Technical Qualifications

• Valid license for operating heavy machinery
• Completed a recognized training course in heavy equipment operation
• Certification must be approved by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC)

Experience

• Previous experience in operating heavy machinery is required

Age Limit

• Between 18 – 45 years

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: PL 3-2-2025
  45,540 – 10×460 – 7,100 – 4×820 – 20×1,130 – 80,700 + allowances
