Job Description

KPMG Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join their client’s team on a contract basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing building-related engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs, and construction projects.

This position requires strong expertise in project management, contractor coordination, and resource optimization to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and execute preventive maintenance work for buildings
• Ensure scheduled repair and maintenance activities are completed on time
• Oversee maintenance work to meet required quality and safety standards
• Manage contractor services and ensure continuous service availability
• Handle contractor payments including retention payments
• Optimize resource allocation for efficient project delivery
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to management

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (UGC recognized – Sri Lanka)
• Chartered Engineer status (IESL) is required
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in building maintenance, renovation, design, and construction
• Experience in project management, budgeting, and resource planning
• Knowledge in facilities management, energy management, and green rating systems is an advantage
• Strong understanding of modern civil engineering technologies
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills
