Job Description & Responsibilities

The Assistant Service Engineer will be a key player in driving TPL’s aftermarket support and service excellence. Primary duties include:

• Service Marketing: Marketing aftermarket support services for Diesel Generator and Diesel Engine customers.

• Sales Management: Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and gross profit targets.

• Customer Engagement: Following up on inquiries and quotations, visiting potential/existing customers, and providing expert advice on engine/generator operation.

• Business Development: Identifying and visiting potential customers to pursue new business opportunities.

• Financial Accountability: Collecting debtors from customers in a timely manner.

• Team Coordination: Coordinating with departments and subordinates to improve the level of aftermarket support.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should be a result-oriented professional with the following:

• Education: A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum two years of experience in a similar capacity.

• Marketing Skills: Exposure to service marketing is required. Additional qualifications in marketing are a significant advantage.

• Language Proficiency: Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil are required (given the Jaffna location). Understanding Sinhala is an added advantage.

• Technical Literacy: Sound IT literacy, specifically with the MS Office package.
