Educational Qualifications

Applicants must have:

G.C.E O/L Requirements

• Passed 6 subjects in not more than 2 sittings
• Minimum 5 Credit Passes including:
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Sinhala/Tamil
  • English

G.C.E A/L Requirements

• Passed 3 subjects in one sitting (excluding General English)

Age Limit

• Applicants must be between 18 – 25 years
• Serving police officers can apply up to 28 years

Physical Requirements

• Minimum Height: 5 feet 6 inches (167.64 cm)
• Good eyesight without spectacles or contact lenses
• Physically and mentally fit for police duties
