The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the official website and social media platforms while supporting public awareness and communication initiatives.

Organization Overview

The Office on Missing Persons (OMP) is an independent institution established under the Office on Missing Persons (Establishment, Administration and Discharge of Functions) Act No. 14 of 2016. The organization is responsible for addressing matters relating to missing and disappeared persons in Sri Lanka.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• A Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science, Web Development, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and update the official OMP website.
• Manage and maintain OMP social media platforms.
• Publish accurate, timely, and approved information in accordance with institutional policies.
• Develop and share digital content including posts, infographics, and videos.
• Support public awareness initiatives regarding OMP’s mandate and activities.
• Monitor digital engagement and prepare performance reports.
• Recommend improvements to communication and outreach strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, confidentiality, and public-sector communication standards.
• Support victim-centered and respectful public communication.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Required Skills

• Website management and content publishing skills.
• Social media management expertise.
• Digital content creation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of online engagement analytics and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of digital communication platforms.
• Knowledge of transitional justice will be an added advantage.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Scale:
JM 1-1 2025 – Rs. 72,650 – 10×1,360 – 18×2,040 – Rs. 122,970
