Job Overview

Surya Lanka Ayurveda Beach Resort is seeking an experienced and qualified professional for the position of Senior Accountant. Established in 1995, the resort caters primarily to European clientele and operates properties in Talalla and Tangalle.

The selected candidate will oversee the accounting operations of both properties and play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, auditing coordination, and financial management.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Liaising with external auditors and banks while ensuring proper documentation
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control activities
• Supporting management decision-making through accurate financial analysis
• Maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Overseeing accounts operations across multiple hotel properties

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Age between 40–60 years
• Partly or fully qualified in:
  • CIMA
  • CA Sri Lanka
  • Or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar accounting position
• Previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry will be an added advantage
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and taxation
• Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills
