Job Profile

• Perform blood collection from patients using appropriate phlebotomy techniques.
• Ensure accurate and safe blood sampling while maintaining proper patient care.
• Prepare and handle blood samples appropriately for laboratory investigations.
• Ensure collected samples are correctly identified, handled, and transferred for testing.
• Maintain proper records related to blood collection and laboratory procedures.
• Follow established hospital procedures, safety standards, and infection-control practices.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to patients during the sample collection process.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualification or training in phlebotomy / laboratory-related services from a recognized institution.
• Previous experience in blood collection or a similar healthcare environment.
• Experience working with patients and handling blood samples will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of proper blood collection procedures and sample handling.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of venipuncture and blood collection techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle patients professionally and courteously.
• Knowledge of healthcare safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a hospital/laboratory team.
• Willingness to work according to hospital procedures and standards.
