Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• NVQ Level 4 or higher in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Maintenance
  • Mechanical Technology
  • Or a related field.
• Minimum 03 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• At least 01 year of experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Experience in maintaining industrial plant machinery, including:
  • Conveyors
  • Pumps
  • Gearboxes
  • Compressors
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Pneumatic systems
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or processing environment will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities within the plant.
• Lead and guide fitters, welders, technicians, and contractors to ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and coordinate immediate corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintain daily maintenance checklists, job cards, and maintenance records.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate plant shutdown maintenance and equipment overhaul activities.
• Ensure proper utilization of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Inspect completed maintenance work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Train mechanical fitters to improve technical competency and performance.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Enforce industrial safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and housekeeping standards.
