The selected candidate will oversee production planning, machine utilization, efficiency improvements, quality assurance, and team management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Stoll and Chinese flat knitting machines and a solid understanding of knitting production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily knitting production activities
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials
• Manage and monitor flat knitting machines (Stoll & Chinese brands)
• Develop and execute production schedules to meet deadlines
• Monitor production output, efficiency, wastage, and quality standards
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvement initiatives
• Ensure products meet customer and international quality standards
• Coordinate with planning, maintenance, QA, and merchandising teams
• Lead, train, and supervise operators, technicians, and supervisors
• Oversee machine maintenance coordination for maximum uptime
• Ensure workplace safety, compliance, and operational standards
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in knitting production
• At least 2–3 years of managerial experience will be an added advantage
• Hands-on experience with flat knitting machines:
  • Stoll
  • Chinese knitting machines
• Strong understanding of:
  • Yarn behavior
  • Fabric structures
  • Gauge and knitting parameters
• Experience in:
  • Production planning
  • Capacity management
  • Efficiency optimization
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting tools (Excel, etc.)
• Experience in sweater production environments will be an added advantage
