Eskimo Fashion Knitwear (Private) Limited is a BOI-approved enterprise and one of Sri Lanka’s premier suppliers of sewn and knitted fashion accessories mainly for the European market. The company has operated in Sri Lanka for more than four decades with its head office and main factory located in Negombo, along with sub factories in Pallekele and Punanai. Eskimo employs over 2000 staff members and is recognized internationally as a high-quality knitwear producer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop knitwear designs including:
  • Pullovers
  • Cardigans
  • Waistcoats
  • Trousers
  • Caps
• Support the preparation of tech packs for sampling
• Coordinate with Technical and Sample teams to ensure design feasibility
• Track sample development and monitor progress
• Review samples and identify design or construction issues
• Update designs according to feedback from technical and production teams
• Ensure compatibility between designs, yarns, and machine capabilities
• Maintain accurate design files, tech packs, and revision records
• Support communication between Merchandising, Technical, and Production teams

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• 0–2 years of experience in garment or knitwear design
• Good understanding of knitwear construction and garment structure
• Proficiency in:
  • Stoll M1+
  • HQPDS16
• Strong knowledge of yarn types and knitting structures
• Attention to detail in technical documentation
• Ability to quickly adapt to a factory environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to collaborate with production teams and accept feedback positively
