Job Overview
Seylan Bank PLC is seeking a capable, motivated, and analytical finance professional to fill the role of Senior Accounts Officer – Finance. The selected candidate will play a critical role in managing financial reporting accuracy, performing SLFRS impact assessments, and supporting management decision-making.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile
the ideal candidate must possess:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, with at least 3 years explicitly in Financial Reporting.
Successful completion of the CA Sri Lanka Corporate Level examination.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting will be considered an added advantage.
Excellent command of both oral and written English.
Key Responsibilities
the selected officer will be responsible for:
Assisting in the preparation and review of Annual Financial Statements, Interim Financial Statements, and the bank’s Annual Report.
Reviewing Monthly Management Accounts and other crucial regulatory reports required by external bodies (e.g., Central Bank of Sri Lanka – CBSL, etc.).
Preparing and reviewing SLFRS (Sri Lanka Financial Reporting Standards) impact assessments, including ECL (Expected Credit Loss) computations for Loans and Advances covering collective and individual impairment, as well as other asset classes.
Preparing and reviewing Monthly Business Profitability reports for submission to senior management.
Contributing actively to finance-related system developments and ensuring timely updates to policies associated with financial reporting.
Preparing and reviewing MIS reports as required by various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Business Units, IRD, CBSL, alongside Internal and External Auditors).
Performing any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the management team.
Required Skills & Personal Attributes
Strong coordinating and leadership skills.
Highly motivated self-starter with a proven ability to multitask.
Capability to complete dense accounting assignments efficiently within stipulated timeframes.
