Siyapatha Finance PLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced legal professional for the role of Corporate Manager Legal.

The Person (Qualifications & Experience)

• Professional Experience: 10–15 years of legal practice specifically in the banking or NBFI sector.

• Legal Expertise: Exposure to corporate, commercial, and regulatory law is required.

• Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.).

• Preferred Education: A Master’s Degree (LL.M., MBA in Business Law, or Corporate Governance) is preferred.

• Leadership: Prior experience as a senior legal counsel or in a managerial role within a corporate environment.

• Proven Track Record: Strong background in contract negotiation, compliance, litigation management, and corporate governance.

The Job (Key Responsibilities)

• Compliance: Ensure full compliance with financial sector regulations, including those from the CBSL, SEC, and other regulatory bodies.

• Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including loan agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.

• Dispute Management: Manage legal disputes, coordinate with external counsel, and represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary.

• Risk Mitigation: Identify legal risks across business functions and implement effective mitigation strategies.

• Advisory: Offer sound legal advice to senior management to support decision-making and sustainable growth.
