About the Programme

The Industrial Development Board (IDB) plans to establish industry-based incubator facilities to support industrial engineering products for local and international markets. The initiative focuses on innovation, commercialization, product development, and industrial competitiveness.

Applications are invited from professionals in the following sectors:

Scope of Work

Technical Guidance

• Review product designs and material selection
• Advise on compliance with national and international standards

Evaluation

• Assess prototypes for commercial viability
• Approve progression from prototype to commercialization
• Recommend corrective actions for design-related issues

Mentoring

• Mentor innovators and engineers
• Share best practices in quality assurance and manufacturing competitiveness

Networking

• Connect incubatees with suppliers and export partners
• Facilitate access to specialized machinery

Technical Specification Development

• Prepare locally developed specifications tailored to country-specific product requirements

Global Market Trend Identification

• Analyze international market trends and consumer demands
• Forecast future business opportunities across global markets

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

• Relevant academic or professional qualifications in the respective field
• Proven local or international industry experience in:
  • Innovation
  • Product development
  • Industrial consultancy
• Experience working with SMEs and entrepreneurs will be an added advantage

Remuneration

Selected consultants will receive:

• Honorarium payments
• Applicable government allowances according to regulations
