Job Description

Plywood House (Pvt) Ltd, a leading plywood manufacturer, importer, and distributor with over 38 years of industry experience, is looking for a skilled Assistant Manager – Import & Planning to manage end-to-end import operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents while ensuring cost-effective and timely import processes. The role also involves optimizing logistics operations, improving import efficiency, and aligning supply chain activities with company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import operations ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents
• Negotiate freight rates and optimize logistics costs
• Identify opportunities to improve import processes and reduce lead times
• Collaborate with internal departments to align import schedules with operational requirements
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, documentation, and procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation
• Excellent negotiation and coordination skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
