Qualifications & Experience

• Open to male and female undergraduates studying Agriculture.
• Applicants should have a genuine interest in agriculture and Sri Lanka’s farming community.
• A passion for agricultural fieldwork, farmer engagement, and agricultural marketing is expected.
• Previous work experience is not required for this internship opportunity.
• Applicants should be willing to work directly with farming communities.
• Candidates should be willing to undertake field visits and interact with farmers on a regular basis.
• Applicants should be willing to work at one of the assigned internship locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with farming communities in the assigned internship area.
• Promote the benefits of Single Super Phosphate (SSP) fertilizer, Lankem Madaraja, to farmers.
• Visit and interact with a targeted number of farmers each day.
• Support farmer engagement and agricultural marketing activities.
• Develop practical knowledge of agricultural marketing and farmer relationship management.
• Work closely with the Head Office team throughout the internship.
• Participate in real-world agricultural field operations.
• Meet the performance expectations established for the internship programme.
