Paramedics Trainer – Nawaloka Hospitals PLC
Job Overview
Nawaloka Hospitals PLC is looking for a dedicated and passionate Paramedics Trainer to lead training programs, build competencies, and uphold clinical excellence among paramedic teams. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality education, skills development, and continuous improvement in patient care and emergency response.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Care, Nursing, or a related field.
- Valid Paramedic / EMS certification such as BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Paramedic in a clinical or pre-hospital setting.
- Proven experience in training, teaching, or facilitating paramedic programs. Formal training qualifications will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of emergency care protocols, patient assessment, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop training materials, conduct assessments, and evaluate learner performance.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in English; Sinhala/Tamil will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs for paramedics and emergency staff.
- Conduct classroom teaching, skills training, simulations, and field evaluations.
- Ensure training content aligns with clinical guidelines, standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Assess trainees’ knowledge, skills, and competencies through exams, demonstrations, and practical evaluations.
- Identify training needs and implement continuous education initiatives.
- Promote best practices in emergency care, patient safety, and infection control.
- Maintain accurate training records and reporting.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to improve training quality and outcomes.
- Mentor and support paramedics in their professional development.
