Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or relevant qualification in EEG Technology, Neurophysiology or a related field.
• Previous experience as an EEG Technician will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of EEG procedures, electrode placement and patient preparation.
• Understanding of neurological diagnostic procedures and relevant safety protocols.
• Computer literacy and good documentation skills.
• Ability to work on a roster basis, including weekends, public holidays and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized EEG recordings according to established protocols.
• Prepare patients for EEG procedures.
• Explain EEG procedures clearly and professionally to patients.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment.
• Ensure accurate recording, documentation and secure handling of EEG data.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any concerns to the relevant medical staff.
• Maintain infection-control, safety and departmental standards.
• Coordinate effectively with neurologists, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide compassionate and professional patient care at all times.
• Maintain proper records related to EEG procedures and patient information.
• Follow established hospital procedures and clinical guidelines.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
