Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

• A First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) in a Special Degree.

OR

• A Second Class (Lower Division) in a Special Degree.

OR

• A First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) in a General Degree.

OR

• A Pass Degree together with a Postgraduate Degree of at least two academic years’ duration in Library and Information Sciences, including a research component by way of a thesis or dissertation.

The following will be considered an added advantage:

• Knowledge of Library Automation Systems.
• Experience with Integrated Library Systems (ILS).
• Knowledge of Digital Libraries.
• Research experience in Library and Information Science.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and organize library resources and collections.
• Provide library reference and information services to students and academic staff.
• Support digital library initiatives and library automation systems.
• Assist users in accessing printed and electronic information resources.
• Maintain cataloguing, classification, and circulation services.
• Support research, teaching, and learning activities.
• Develop and improve library services and user engagement.
• Participate in academic and administrative activities related to library operations.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: Rs. 94,400 – 118,400 per month
• Academic Allowance: 91% + Rs. 1,200

• Salary and Academic Allowance will be paid according to the University Grants Commission Commission Circular No. 02/2025 (i) dated 04.04.2025.
