Wayamba University of Sri Lanka invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Management Assistant on a Contract Basis under the Wayamba University Township Development Project.

The project is implemented under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education (Higher Education Division), funded by the Government of Saudi Arabia, with an approximate project value of US$ 28 Million.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for project activities.
• Maintain project-related documentation and records.
• Assist in office coordination and management functions.
• Handle correspondence, reports, and official documents.
• Support project officers in day-to-day administrative activities.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Perform other duties assigned by project management.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

Educational Qualifications

G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L):

• Passed 06 subjects with credit passes for 04 subjects including:
  • Sinhala / Tamil / English
  • Mathematics
• Obtained in one sitting.

AND

G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L):

• Passed all subjects in one sitting (excluding General Paper).

(Under old syllabus, passing three subjects at one sitting is acceptable.)

General Requirements

• Applicants must fulfill all required qualifications before the closing date.
• Age Limit: Below 64 years.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Category:
As per Management Services Circular No. 02/2026

Benefits include:

• Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF):
  • Employee contribution: 8%
  • Employer contribution: 12%
• Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF):
  • Employer contribution: 3%

Employment Conditions

• Appointment will initially be made for one year on Contract Basis.
• Contract may be extended annually based on:
  • Performance.
  • Service requirement.
