The Sri Lanka Nursing Council is the statutory body responsible for regulating and maintaining professional standards within the nursing profession in Sri Lanka. The Council plays a vital role in ensuring quality nursing education, professional registration, and ethical practice standards across the country.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Must have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six (06) subjects at one sitting.
• Must have obtained Credit Passes in:
  • Language (Sinhala or Tamil)
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • One additional subject
• Must have passed three (03) subjects in the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.
• Must possess practical knowledge of computer applications.
• Should have completed a computer course of not less than six months from a recognized institution.
• Ability to perform clerical, documentation, and office administration duties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clerical and administrative duties.
• Maintain office records, files, and documentation.
• Assist in data entry and record management activities.
• Handle correspondence and office communications.
• Support the daily operations of the Sri Lanka Nursing Council.
• Prepare reports and administrative documents as required.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records and databases.
• Carry out other duties assigned by management.

• Strong administrative and clerical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
