Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
- A Degree from a recognized university/HEI with at least 3 years of relevant experience
OR - A two-year Diploma with a Certificate in Secretarial Practice or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience
Additionally, candidates must have:
- A recognized qualification in computer applications of at least 6 months duration
- Stenography and secretarial abilities in English and Sinhala/Tamil
- Word processing skills and ability to handle modern office equipment
Method of Recruitment
Selection will be based on:
- Written Examination
- Structured Interview
Written Examination Includes:
Paper I
- Knowledge of the University System
- IQ and General Knowledge
Paper II
- IT Skills and Stenography
- Communication Skills and Public Relations
- English language proficiency
- Translation skills between English and Sinhala/Tamil
- Report writing and official correspondence
- Organizing meetings and conferences
- Public relations and liaison work
Salary Scale
Salary Scale:
Rs. 85,305 – 3 x 2,020 – 91,365 (EB) 93,765; 12 x 2,400 – 122,565 p.m. [U-EX 1(II)]
Additional government-approved allowances will also apply.
