Organization Overview

Sri Lanka Tea Board is the apex body of the tea industry in Sri Lanka operating under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

• Attend to all legal matters of the Board
• Liaise and coordinate with the Attorney General and other legal bodies when necessary
• Advise and brief the Management regarding legal issues arising from the activities of the Board

Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants should:

• Be an Attorney-at-Law
• Possess at least 03 years of experience in legal activities

Preference

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• LLB Degree qualification

Selection Method

Selection will be based on:

• Structured Interview

Salary Scale

MM 1-1 – Rs. 91,690 – 10×2480 – 15×3450 – 168,240 per month

Additional Salary Information

• Initial salary step: Rs. 81,710 per month
• Government approved allowances will be paid
• Approximate gross salary: Rs. 124,510 per month

Age Limit

• Applicants should be between 22 and 45 years
• Upper age limit will not apply to candidates from the public sector

Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

  • Employee contribution: 10%
  • Board contribution: 15%
• Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF)
  • Board contribution: 3%

Employment Conditions

• External candidates will be on probation for 3 years
• Confirmed internal candidates will undergo a trial period of 1 year
• External recruits will be placed on the initial salary step
