Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers and subcontractors
• Preparing and managing purchase orders and procurement contracts
• Conducting cost analysis and negotiating material prices
• Monitoring delivery schedules, logistics, and lead times
• Evaluating supplier performance and compliance standards
• Coordinating with project teams to fulfill material requirements
• Maintaining procurement documentation and vendor approvals
• Managing inventory levels and stock control

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement within the civil construction industry
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials including concrete, steel, aggregates, formwork, and finishing materials
• Experience in supplier and subcontractor evaluation
• Skills in cost analysis, budget control, and procurement negotiation
• Knowledge of vendor management and procurement compliance
• Familiarity with inventory and stock management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems

Preferred Skills

• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage procurement schedules efficiently
• Experience working with project managers, engineers, and QA/QC teams
• Good negotiation and analytical skills
