Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing workplace safety protocols, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across project operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety programs and policies
• Ensure all site operations comply with safety regulations, standards, and procedures
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and awareness training sessions
• Identify potential hazards and ensure timely corrective actions
• Inspect tools, machinery, equipment, and work areas for safety compliance
• Maintain safety registers, incident reports, and related documentation
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases while recommending preventive actions
• Manage hazardous waste and ensure proper disposal procedures
• Coordinate with project leadership teams on safety improvement initiatives

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related qualification
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction or project site safety (mandatory)
• Good understanding of workplace safety regulations, standards, and documentation
• Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills
• Ability to enforce safety rules while maintaining positive workforce relations
• Physical fitness to conduct site inspections and field duties
• Willingness to work at the company’s Maldives project site
