SLP Engineering Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is inviting applications for the position of Senior Design Engineer – HVAC. The company is seeking highly experienced HVAC engineering professionals with strong expertise in MEP consultancy projects, HVAC system design, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing HVAC systems for building services projects
• Ensuring proposals comply with company quality procedures, client requirements, international codes, and industry standards
• Preparing design drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings
• Managing project conception, specifications, scheduling, estimating, and material procurement
• Conducting research on new HVAC technologies to improve system efficiency
• Providing technical support to project staff regarding HVAC-related issues
• Carrying out quality checks on completed work
• Handling project documentation submissions including:
  • Vendor approvals
  • Project reports
  • Schedule submissions
• Coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and authorities on technical matters

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within Building Services / MEP Engineering
• Proven experience in HVAC system design for MEP consultancy projects
• Experience handling large-scale or complex building projects
• Prior work experience in the Maldives (added advantage)

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong expertise in HVAC system design and development
• Proficiency in preparing:
  • Design drawings
  • Shop drawings
  • Coordination drawings
  • As-built drawings
• Experience in HVAC design calculations and system optimization
• Hands-on experience with:
  • MS Project
  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of:
  • Project planning
  • Scheduling
  • Cost estimation
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, British, and European standards and relevant industry codes
