Job Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality and food safety standards through inspections, documentation, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure product quality and safety
• Maintain and manage quality-related documentation
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards
• Support internal audits related to process quality
• Collaborate with team members to promote a quality-focused culture
• Oversee microbiological and pest control activities
• Ensure proper calibration of process-related instruments
• Participate in quality improvement and system implementation projects
• Support QA-related departmental projects and process improvements

Requirements

• Passed G.C.E (A/L) in Biology, Mathematics, or Bio-System Technology
• Diploma in Food Science or related academic qualification
• Experience in Quality Assurance within a food manufacturing company will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of ISO-related documentation preferred
• Ability to work on a shift basis
• Good communication skills in Sinhala and English
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
