Job Overview

Urban Development Authority under the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development is inviting applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the position of Assistant Manager – Category F under the Urban Regeneration Project – City of Colombo.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with qualifications and experience in facilities management, housing scheme management, urban development, or related technical fields. Applicants with experience in apartment and housing facilities management will be given preference.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in managing housing schemes developed under the Urban Regeneration Project.
• Coordinate facilities management operations related to apartments and housing complexes.
• Support maintenance, administration, and operational activities of housing projects.
• Ensure smooth coordination among residents, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Assist in project supervision, documentation, and reporting activities.
• Monitor service quality and operational standards within assigned housing schemes.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should satisfy one of the following qualification pathways:

Option 01

• Bachelor’s Degree or qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) equivalent to a degree in the relevant field

OR

• Certificate of proficiency not below National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 7 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC)

AND

• Minimum 02 years of experience in the relevant area of specialization

Option 02

• Certificate of proficiency not below NVQ Level 6 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by TVEC relevant to the technical field of the post

AND

• Minimum 05 years of experience in the relevant area of specialization

Option 03

• Certificate of proficiency not below NVQ Level 5 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by TVEC relevant to the technical field of the post

AND

• Minimum 08 years of experience in the relevant area of specialization

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Facilities management experience
• Apartment or housing scheme management experience
• Urban housing administration experience
• Property or infrastructure management exposure

General Conditions

• Appointments are initially on a contract basis for one year.
• Contracts are renewable annually based on satisfactory performance.
• Appointments on a secondment basis will also be considered.
• Public sector applicants should forward applications through Heads of respective institutions.

Salary & Benefits

Salary

• Salary will be paid according to the provisions of the Management Services Circular 02/2026 dated 28.03.2026.
