Job Responsibilities

• Provide specialist medical consultation and patient care services.
• Diagnose and manage patients within the relevant medical specialty.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and hospital staff.
• Ensure high standards of patient safety, clinical ethics, and healthcare quality.
• Participate in clinical decision-making, treatment planning, and emergency management.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records.
• Support hospital healthcare operations and specialist clinical services.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

Medical Registration

• Registration or eligibility for registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) according to the Medical (Amendment) Act No. 28 of 2018

OR

• Valid full registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).

Professional Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) in the relevant specialty

AND

• Board Certification from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Additional Requirement

• Certificate of Good Standing from the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 30 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years

Salary Scale

• Salary Scale: MC 1-2
• Starting Salary: Rs. 161,140/-
• Maximum Salary: Rs. 219,340/-

Placement will be made at the initial salary step of the MC 1-2 salary scale.
