About the National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA)

The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) functions under the Ministry of Health and Mass Media and is responsible for implementing policies, awareness programs, and regulatory activities related to tobacco and alcohol control in Sri Lanka.

NATA supports national public health initiatives through research, awareness campaigns, and institutional operations across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive official vehicles safely and responsibly
• Transport staff, officials, and documents as required
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and safety standards
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues
• Support transportation requirements for official programs and field activities

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

• Monthly contract allowance of Rs. 58,634/-
• ETF and EPF benefits

Required Qualifications

Applicants should fulfill the following requirements:

Educational Qualifications

• Passed six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination
• Should have obtained at least two (02) credit passes in a maximum of two sittings

Driving Qualifications

• Valid driving license issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic
• License categories relevant to the post should be clearly mentioned
• Minimum of three (03) years driving experience after obtaining the driving license

Age Limit

• Applicants should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age

Basis of Employment

• Contract Basis – 1 Year
• Contract with ETF & EPF
