About the National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA)

The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) is the government institution responsible for implementing national policies and regulations related to tobacco and alcohol control in Sri Lanka. Operating under the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, NATA works to protect public health through legal enforcement, awareness programs, policy development, and regulatory activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance on institutional matters
• Handle legal documentation, contracts, and regulatory procedures
• Support legal compliance and policy implementation activities
• Represent the organization in legal and administrative matters when required
• Coordinate with government institutions and legal authorities
• Assist with drafting legal reports, notices, and official correspondence

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

• Salary scale of Rs. 99,510/-
• ETF and EPF benefits

Required Qualifications

Applicants should fulfill the following requirements:

• Should have taken oaths as an Attorney-at-Law at the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka

AND

• Minimum of three (03) years post-qualifying experience in the relevant legal field

Age Limit

• Applicants should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age

Basis of Employment

• Contract Basis – 1 Year
• Contract with ETF & EPF
