Job Description

DFCC Bank is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bank Assistant for its Domestic Payments Services division. The selected candidate will handle inward and outward RTGS operations, clearing processes, reconciliation activities, and ensure compliance with banking regulations and operational procedures.

This role is ideal for candidates with banking experience, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of domestic payment systems and core banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inward and outward RTGS operator functions accurately
• Ensure timely crediting of funds without delays or negligence
• Handle LKR and USD inward and outward clearing processes
• Conduct reconciliation of central bank clearing accounts
• Report outstanding balances to the Unit Head
• Process approved referral charge waivers in the core banking system
• Ensure adherence to bank policies, Central Bank guidelines, and LankaClear RTGS manuals
• Support special projects, UAT testing, system improvements, and departmental initiatives

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of banking experience, preferably in domestic payment services or centralized operations
• Sound knowledge of RTGS operations and clearing processes (LKR and USD)
• Good understanding of core banking systems and operational controls
• Knowledge of approval matrices and system access policies
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage heavy workloads accurately and efficiently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
