📍 Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

Job Summary

The selected candidate will play a strategic role in driving the bank’s Trade Finance business by developing customer relationships, expanding market presence, and delivering innovative trade solutions to corporate and SME clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive growth of the Bank’s Trade Finance portfolio through strategic business acquisition
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within Corporate, Commercial, and SME segments
• Promote Trade Finance products including:
  • Letters of Credit (LCs)
  • Bank Guarantees
  • Import & Export Financing
  • Trade Loans
  • Supply Chain Finance Solutions
• Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships
• Collaborate with branches and internal departments to deliver customized trade solutions
• Achieve revenue, portfolio growth, and profitability targets
• Monitor market trends and emerging trade opportunities
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and international trade guidelines
• Provide leadership to trade sales and support teams

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Professional qualification in Banking or Trade Finance
• Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline (preferred)
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Banking or Financial Services
• 5–6 years’ managerial experience in Trade Finance / Corporate Banking / SME Banking / Transaction Banking
• Proven track record in business acquisition and revenue growth
• Strong understanding of international trade finance practices and regulations
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and leadership capabilities
