Job Description

HNB Life PLC is seeking motivated individuals to support its Group Life underwriting operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day underwriting tasks, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth execution of day-to-day underwriting activities
• Coordinate and follow up on IT-related requests within the department
• Assist in preparing and issuing Group Life quotations accurately
• Support process improvements to streamline underwriting operations
• Handle inquiries related to quotations and respond to stakeholders promptly
• Perform additional duties assigned by management

Qualifications & Requirements

• Successfully completed GCE A/L
• Professional insurance qualification (e.g., AIII / CII / SLII) is an added advantage
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in underwriting (insurance industry preferred)
• Industry-specific experience is an advantage
• Strong communication skills in Sinhala & English
• Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills
