Job Description

Wichy Plantation Company, a leading coconut-based export company in Sri Lanka, is looking for a Trainee Shipping Executive to join its team. The selected candidate will assist in managing export documentation, coordinating with logistics partners, and ensuring smooth shipping operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international trade, export procedures, and logistics within a globally recognized brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and relevant authorities for timely processing
• Maintain updated records of export shipments and documentation
• Handle Letters of Credit (LC) documentation and bank submissions
• Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies with Customs and customers

Requirements

• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures
• Diploma in Logistics, Shipping, or related field is an added advantage
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
