Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring financial efficiency in construction operations. The role involves working closely with engineers, project managers, and contractors to monitor budgets and control expenditures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQs)
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgets
• Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate pricing
• Manage contract administration and variations
• Track project progress and prepare financial reports
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with project teams for cost control and planning
• Conduct site measurements and valuations

Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying with minimum 3 years of relevant experience

OR

• HND / NDES / NVQ Level 6 with minimum 5 years of relevant experience

OR

• NCT or NVQ Level IV & V with minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of construction cost management and contract administration
• Experience in water supply and road construction projects will be an added advantage
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project responsibilities
• Willingness to work island-wide
• Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
