Job Description

The Associate Lawyer will be part of the litigation team, responsible for managing legal matters related to civil litigation, conducting in-depth legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting in client consultations. The role also involves appearing in courts when required and independently handling conveyancing work.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the litigation team to manage complex legal cases
• Conduct legal research and prepare case-related documentation
• Draft legal documents, agreements, and court submissions
• Manage client correspondence and provide legal advice
• Engage with clients, contractors, and third parties professionally
• Assist in case preparation and legal strategy development
• Appear in courts when required and support litigation processes
• Handle conveyancing work independently

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Attorney-at-Law
• Holder of a notarial license in English
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation and commercial law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in legal research, drafting, and case preparation
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Experience appearing in Magistrates’ Courts is an added advantage
• Bar Association membership and Company Secretarial License will be an added advantage
• Experience in conveyancing
