Job Description

The Social Officer will handle community relations and social impact activities related to construction projects. The role involves engaging with stakeholders, addressing community concerns, and ensuring that project activities align with social and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with local communities and stakeholders regarding project activities
• Support implementation of social and environmental safeguards
• Address community concerns and ensure proper communication
• Assist in conducting social impact assessments and reporting
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth execution
• Maintain records and documentation related to social activities
• Facilitate awareness programs and stakeholder meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in relevant projects
• Experience in community engagement or social development projects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and handle field responsibilities
• Willingness to work island-wide
• Good reporting and documentation skills
