This role is essential for maintaining the bank’s commitment to trilingual communication and regulatory excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Translation: Translating official circulars, manuals, and corporate communications from English into Sinhala and Tamil.

• Quality Assurance: Reviewing and proofreading translated documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance while eliminating errors.

• Coordination: Collaborating with various departments to understand the specific context and requirements for different documents.

• Timeliness: Supporting the Bank’s objective of issuing trilingual communications promptly.

• Compliance: Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to the professional standards of DFCC Bank.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Languages, Translation, or a related field.

• Experience: * Proven experience in translating documents between English, Sinhala, and Tamil.

  • Prior experience working within a corporate or financial institution environment is highly preferred.

• Skills:

  • Excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and style in all three languages.

  • Strong proofreading and editing skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Exceptional time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
