Nawaloka Hospitals PLC is seeking a skilled and committed A/C Technician to join its engineering and maintenance team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of air conditioning and ventilation systems.

Nawaloka Hospitals PLC is a private healthcare institution in Sri Lanka. The A/C Technician will support the hospital’s engineering and maintenance operations by ensuring the reliable performance of air conditioning and ventilation systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• NVQ / NCT / City & Guilds / Diploma in:
  • Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
  • HVAC
  • Related or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in AC/HVAC maintenance and repair is preferred.
• Knowledge of:
  • Split AC systems
  • Package units
  • Central AC systems
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and maintenance schedules.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work shifts and attend emergency breakdowns when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, inspection, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) for AC and ventilation systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify faults promptly.
• Maintain service records and report major repairs or technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, engineering standards and SOPs.
• Support general maintenance duties assigned by the department.

Required Skills

• Practical knowledge of AC and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of split AC, package and central AC systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand technical manuals and drawings.
• Ability to follow maintenance schedules and SOPs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond to emergency breakdowns.
• Willingness to work shifts.
