Salary Scale – Sri Lanka Engineering Service Grade III
Selected candidates will receive the salary under:
SL-1-2025 Salary Category
Rs. 82,150 – 10 x 2,400 – 8 x 2,940 – 17 x 3,900 – Rs. 195,970
This is a pensionable post and includes contributions to the Widows’ and Orphans’ Pension Scheme.
Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must currently be serving in:
- Engineering Assistants’ Service (Department of Irrigation), OR
- Supervisory Manager (Department of Railways), OR
- Technical Officer (Sri Lanka Technological Service)
2️⃣ Experience Requirement
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 15 years of active service
- At least 5 years in Grade I after promotion
OR - 21 years of satisfactory service in special grade
3️⃣ Academic Qualification
Applicants must:
- Be registered as an Incorporated Engineer or Associate Engineer of the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka
AND
Possess one of the following:
- B.Sc. Degree in Engineering (4-year course recognized by UGC and IESL), OR
- Equivalent qualification accepted by UGC and Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka

Selection will be made by a Board of Interview appointed by the Public Service Commission based on:
