Qualifications & Experience
- A BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a BEngTech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or institution
- Qualifications in a related engineering discipline may also be considered
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of water pumps and fire protection systems
- Support mechanical engineering projects involving pumping systems, water treatment equipment, piping, valves and fittings
- Assist with pump performance testing, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Prepare technical quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions
- Review tender documents, technical specifications and bills of quantities
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain prices, technical information and product documentation
- Assist in preparing technical reports, proposals and other project documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, suppliers and customers to successfully support project execution
Required Skills
- A keen interest in the pump, water supply and water treatment industries
- Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
- Basic literacy in reading and writing English
- Willingness to learn technical engineering work, tendering and quotation preparation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and attend project sites when required
