Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Diploma or NCT in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institute.
- Two to three years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in sales or a customer-facing role.
- Experience in ready-mix concrete sales will be an added advantage.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills with a focus on achieving targets.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, internet, and email.
- Fluency in Tamil, Sinhala, and English.
- Below 35 years of age.
- Valid driving licences for both light vehicles and motorcycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities and promote ready-mix concrete to contractors, builders, consultants, and construction companies.
- Conduct site visits, take measurements, and calculate concrete quantities based on site requirements and structural drawings.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and follow up on customer inquiries to secure orders.
- Provide technical guidance on concrete grades, mix requirements, and applications in coordination with the Technical and Quality Assurance teams.
- Coordinate with customers, production teams, and dispatch teams to ensure timely delivery of concrete according to site requirements.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, resolve customer concerns, and monitor competitor activities.
- Follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with the Finance Department.
- Maintain accurate sales records and support the achievement of sales targets.
