SriLankan IT Systems drives the airline’s IT strategy through digital transformation, technology adoption, data modeling, business intelligence, and business continuity. The focus is on transforming business and operational processes, expanding digital passenger reach, and improving customer experience through solutions design, development, and integrations while enhancing airline IT domain knowledge. Award-winning SriLankan IT team is seeking a dynamic individual to join as a Senior Network Engineer.
The individual is responsible for ensure that operation and administration aspects of all local and Global network IT systems, services and functions are executed in a timely manner with proper planning and to the satisfaction of the airline operations. Drive IT Operations & Service Management aspects in the implementation, maintenance and hosting of infrastructure (on-premises & cloud) services to meet the business operational requirements with 24x7x365 commitment.
Key responsibilities will include:
Maintain high performing voice and data network to ensure all airline applications and their services are function as per the defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements) /OLAs (Operational Level Agreements) and ensure there is no disruption for the airline operations due to unavailability of the application portfolio of the airline.
Maintain high performing Global network services including SITA/ARINC and overseas airports and offices to ensure all airline applications and their services are function as per the defined SLAs/ OLAs and ensure there is no disruption for the airline operations due to unavailability of the application portfolio of the airline.
Be accountable for the quality of service and performance; ensuring future demand from growth and projects is understood and factored into capacity plans for all associated systems.
Take a significant role in leading and coaching direct team and/or indirect teams to support the engagement, growth and development of Succession plan for the IT Business Relations departments.
Work with the Product and Service Owners and IT Business System Managers to define the monitoring requirements, identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and establish Service Improvement Plans (SIPs).
Co-ordinate and liaise with third party service providers, inter-department co-coordinators and / or other users of IT Systems, to analyze system resource utilization and the capacity needs of the existing infrastructure and application systems.
Manage systems changes through the established change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties. Conduct root cause and trend analysis to implement pro-active measures. Monitor effectiveness of implemented measures. Respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties. Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability. Contribute to the continual improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree* in relevant field from a recognized University with a minimum of 02 year post qualifying Relevant Experience (*Engineering, Computer Science, General Science with Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Applied Statistics etc.)
OR
Full professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 07 with 04 years post qualifying experience in a relevant discipline..
Be a Sri Lankan citizen.
