Qualifications & Experience
- 6 passes at GCE O/L with 4 credits in one sitting, including a credit for English, and 2 passes at GCE A/L with 5 years’ work experience
- Or 6 passes at GCE O/L with 4 credits in one sitting, including a credit for English, and a full professional qualification (at least a Diploma level with a minimum study period of one year or more) with 3 years’ work experience
- Upper age limit of 30 years as of 1 November 2026
- Work experience in an aviation-related background will be an added advantage
- Must be a Sri Lankan citizen
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute safety audits and inspections across all internal operation disciplines and external service providers under the organization’s SMS, including preparing calendars, developing checklists, allocating resources, conducting audits, preparing reports and ensuring timely completion of the risk register (AQD)
- Assist Safety Managers in responding to audit and inspection findings raised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL), IOSA / ISAGO auditors, corporate quality and customer airlines, and handle correspondence independently to ensure compliance with aviation standards
- Maintain audit and inspection documentation in hard copy and soft copy formats for internal purposes and for CAASL, IOSA, ISAGO and other audits
- Assist in developing and maintaining trend analysis on safety audit and inspection findings and share the analysis with relevant stakeholders
- Prepare presentation slides for department, SAG, Head of SAG and SRB meetings and circulate finalized minutes
- Assist during safety investigations by organizing interviews, gathering evidence and coordinating with external parties, and store investigation reports to the required standards
- Ensure safety investigation reports are entered into the risk register (AQD) and that recommendations are actioned by relevant internal disciplines and service providers
- Act as the main administrator from the safety office for the Aviation Quality database (AQD) and train users from a safety perspective
Required Skills
- Knowledge of safety management systems and aviation safety regulations (CAASL, IATA, IOSA, ISAGO)
- Audit planning, reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders independently
