📖 Job Description

Opal Nexus is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project costing, tendering, and commercial documentation. The role involves working with architectural and structural drawings, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high accuracy.

🎯 Requirements

🧑‍🎓 Qualifications

• Degree or recognized professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field

🧑‍💼 Experience

• Minimum 3–6 years experience in Quantity Surveying
• Experience in joinery/interior fit-out projects preferred
• Middle East project experience (added advantage) 🌍

🛠️ Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, fit-out processes, and construction techniques
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in CCS, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS/estimating software
• Strong understanding of cost planning, tendering, and contract administration
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills 🤝
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

🧾 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs
• Analyze architectural and structural drawings for accurate costing
• Evaluate project scope, risks, and requirements for tender submissions
• Manage variation orders, interim valuations, and final accounts
• Coordinate with procurement teams and suppliers for quotations
• Monitor and control project costs aligned with budgets
• Review contracts, schedules, and resource plans
• Prepare client quotations and commercial documentation
• Maintain cost databases and supplier records
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams
