Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in apartment or commercial construction projects.
• Ability to accurately read and extract quantities from construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of local construction rates, materials, and billing procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and CostX or similar quantity surveying software.
• Strong organizational, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and interim bills based on approved drawings.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed material calculations.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison reports.
• Conduct site visits to verify quantities and assess construction progress.
• Track material consumption and reconcile records with site usage reports.
• Identify and resolve construction-related discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate with site engineers and management to prepare timely valuations and progress claims.
• Support project cost control and financial tracking throughout the construction lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and cost management.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and CostX.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
