About the Company

Vogue Tex is one of Sri Lanka’s leading apparel manufacturers, supplying high-quality garments to globally renowned brands. The company is seeking an experienced, proactive, and commercially driven Procurement Manager – Trims & Machinery Spare Parts to lead its procurement function and support operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for trims, packaging materials, machinery spare parts, consumables, and indirect materials.
• Ensure uninterrupted material availability to support production schedules and PCD while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
• Lead supplier selection, evaluation, negotiations, contract management, and supplier reviews.
• Drive procurement cost reduction through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, order consolidation, and continuous improvement.
• Minimize obsolete, slow-moving, and excess inventory through effective planning and procurement controls.
• Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, Production, Maintenance, Stores, Finance, Commercial, and Quality teams.
• Establish and monitor procurement KPIs covering cost savings, supplier performance, on-time delivery, procurement lead time, and purchase price comparisons.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, approval procedures, and audit requirements.
• Utilize ERP systems to improve procurement visibility, planning accuracy, reporting, and process automation.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
• Develop strong supplier partnerships while benchmarking market trends, prices, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in procurement within the apparel manufacturing industry.
• At least 2 years of managerial experience is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of apparel trims, packaging materials, machinery spare parts, industrial consumables, and procurement best practices.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, inventory optimization, and cost reduction.
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
